By invitation of the Instituto Nazionale dei Tumori IRCCS “Fondazione G. Pascale”, based in Naples, Italy, professor Flair José Carrilho, titular professor of the Department of Gastroenterology of FMUSP, and head of the Gastroenterology and Clinical Hepatology Division of the HCFMUSP, participated in the creation of the “Alleanza Mondiale Oncologica in Rete – AMORE” (World Alliance in Oncology Network).
The signature of the Alliance, which seals a new pact in the defense of the health of citizens with cancer, took place on May 15th, in Naples. During the event, Prof. Carrilho gave the lecture “Hepatocellular Carcinoma in Latin America”.
The oncological network will help with the assurance of the best possible therapy for people who struggle with cancer. According to specialists, the alliance is necessary because the disease must be fought on several levels and with the synergy of the largest possible number of doctors and researchers around the world.
The Institute based in Naples has promoted the creation of the alliance and counted on the contributions of specialists from Singapore, Russia, Chile, Colombia and Brazil.
