Professor Chao Lung Wen, Associate of the Pathology Department and Head of the Telemedicine Discipline of FMUSP, participated in the technical meeting “Telemedicine, Teleconsultation and Remunerative Aspects in the Post-Pandemic”, held on June 25th, 2020, by the External Committee of the Chamber of Deputies designed to follow-up the Facing of the Covid-19 Pandemic in Brazil.

The audience brought together representatives of medical associations, academics, parliamentarians and was broadcasted live on the e-Democracy portal, which allows citizens to interact in real time with the legislative debates.

Prof. Chao mentioned as a major problem in the country, "the lack of mandatory training, ever since graduation, in Medicine in digital bioethics, telepropedutics, humanization using interactive means and care supported by technologies". He added: “the biggest danger of incorporating technology is not doing it in a solid and correct way. Telemedicine is not a tool, but a medical method that provides quality care in patient care".
