The Facudade de Medicina da Universidade de São Paulo (FMUSP) announces with regret the death of Prof. doctor Natalino Hajime Yoshinari, Retired Associate Professor, Discipline of Rheumatology, Internal Medicine Department of FMUSP and Research Laboratory in Rheumatology (LIM/17) at HCFMUSP. The wake took place on June, 13th and 14th, from 8 am to 9 am, followed by the burial, at Jardim da Colina Cemetery, Rua Jardim da Colina, 265, Jardim Petroni, in São Paulo. Bernardo do Campo, Sao Paulo.
Graduated in Medicine at Universidade de São Paulo in 1974, Prof. Natalino Yoshinari received a master's and doctorate in Rheumatology of Universidade de São Paulo (1986) and a postdoctoral degree of the Tufts School of Medicine, Boston, USA, completed in 1989.
Prof. Natalino Yoshinari was a Titular Member of the Pan American League of Associations for Rheumatology, Member of the Fogarty International Center for Advanced Study in the Health Science and Member of the Editorial Board of the Brazilian Journal of Rheumatology. He worked mainly with the following topics: arthritis, anti-borrelia antibodies and synovial fluid. Author of the book Rheumatology for the Clinician, published in 2000 by Roca, in co-authorship with Prof. Eloisa Silva Dutra de Oliveira Bonfá, Director of FMUSP.
